EMF Inspections

Residential & Commercial

We make EMF safety easy to understand and achieve. We assess your exposure and make simple and strategic recommendations. Improvements are usually realized during the inspection itself. We send you a report detailing your EMF measurements compared with safety guidelines and any recommendations. We also include additional EMF resources.

Whole Home EMF Assessment

Whole Home EMR Inspection

We inspect your entire home for sources of Electromagnetic Radiation. We put additional attention into 3 primary “high-use areas.” They are typically the bedroom, kitchen, living room or office. You may choose others. In the bedroom, we measure and help you create your own Sleep Sanctuary. We make recommendations and then retest. After the inspection, we send you a report of our findings and further recommendations.

Duration: 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Cost: $450

Pre-Purchase Home Inspection

Why have a pre-purchase EMF inspection?

Our pre-purchase EMF inspection focuses on identifying potentially costly or irreparable EMF exposures. This is also of value to renters, looking at a new rental. It can save money and heart-aches.

Electrical Issues?

Our AC Magnetic Field inspection can uncover electrical wiring problems or dirty electricity coming in from external sources.

Trade Consultation

As a trades person myself, I am happy to consult with your architect, contractor, or sub-contractors to get EMF issues fixed. They generally will not know about EMF and how to fix these. We can guide them through it.

Duration: 2 – 2 1/2 hours

Cost: $350

Office and Commercial EMF Inspection

An onsite EMF inspection will let you know if there is any reason to be concerned about your Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) exposure.

Our inspection service offers a thorough investigation inside your building(s). We compare EMF levels to various guidelines, so you will have a good cross-section to understand the relative exposure and be proactive in efficient solutions.

If high levels of EMF radiation are detected, we will identify their sources, compared with safety guidelines. We will also provide recommendation and strategies, along with resources to help with mitigation.

Our work in the electrical and networking fields enable us to effectively consult with sub-contractors in the case of larger remediation efforts.

Duration: Dependent on Structure & Size

Cost: $220 per hour

Phone or Skype EMF Consultation

Why have an EMF phone consultation?

Perhaps you bought a meter but aren’t sure about the readings you are getting, what they mean and what to do about it. We can gladly assist you. Or maybe you just have questions. That’s fine, too.

What Can We Do Over the Phone?

Quite a bit. Even if you do not have meters to perform tests for electromagnetic radiation, we can walk you through best practices, so you can make changes to lessen your exposure.

Consult Your Electrician/Contractor

As a trade person, I speak the language of electricians and builders. I would be happy to consult with your sub-contractor. If you are having difficulty in getting some EMF related work completed, I can help get it done .

Duration: 1 hour (or as needed)

Cost: $220

Assured EMF Reductions

During an inspection we will make recommendations and retest, to demonstrate immediate improvements. You should realize typically cost-free EMR reductions as a part of the inspection process itself.

FAQ

What is the Whole Home EMF Inspection?

First, we talk with for 10-15 minutes to describe what we will be measuring and why. We listen for any concerns or questions you may have?

Then, we measure your entire home for Electric Fields, Magnetic Fields, RF fields, and Dirty Electricity. If there are high readings, we narrow down the problem areas. We notate our findings for the report.

We then focus on 3 high-use area for particularly close inspection. These are typically a bedroom (Sleep Sanctuary), the living room and the kitchen or a home office. We can do other rooms instead, if that would be preferred.

During the entire inspection we make recommendations about how to fix problem areas, also notating these for the report.

Usually, within 2 days after the inspection we will email you a report of our findings. If you need it sooner, let us know. If you need a formal report this can be available, as well. Please let us know before the inspection, if need a formal report or if you need it sooner than 48 hours.

Why get a Pre-Purchase EMF Inspection?

The purchase of a house or commercial building is a large investment, perhaps the largest you will make. The last thing you want is to find out you have bought in a EMF hotspot, or that dirty electricity is coming into the building via the utility drop.

It is best to know about these issues up front. If they can be remedied, the cost of doing so should factored into the price. An EMF inspection is another proactive way to qualify your purchase.

Do you test for 5G?

Yes, we do. The initial 5G rollout is going to use “FR1” frequency band of 450 MHz to 6 GHz. It is also referred to as the “Sub-6 GHz rollout”. Currently we test up to 10 GHz.

Would I be better off buying my own meter and doing my own tests?

Getting your own meter is a great idea. They are useful for learning about EMFs around your home and office.

However, in reality consumer grade meters won’t provide an accurate electromagnetic survey. Also, how they are used and what you compare the numbers to, is as important as the readings. Finally, the meters can’t recommend effective mitigation techniques. Each EMF field is unique, must be measured separately and requires different mitigation strategies.

If you do buy a consumer grade meter, getting a professional inspection will be a good learning opportunity with your meter.

Can I just buy a "dirty electricity" filter and have it installed.
We assess for 4 types of electromagnetic radiation. Dirty Electricity is one of them. You may not even have dirty electricity, or you may have it on only one circuit. We also check for AC Electrical Field Radiation, AC Magnetic Field Radiation and RF (Radio Frequency) Radiation. Each type of electromagnetic radiation is unique and requires different meters to measure and specific mitigation techniques.
If you come do an inspection, are you going to find problems and make me even more anxious about them?

We take a measured approach towards EMF inspection. We would just as soon come and find all the EMF fields within safety guidelines. We do not make alarmist statements or use fear tactics to get you believing you have a problem.

If your EMF reading are within safety guidelines, we will tell you. If they are not within the guidelines, we will tell you which ones are not and show you the corresponding guidelines. We will provide you with simple and straight-forward solutions, if you do have problem areas. Some of these solutions are often cost-free. Other may require a more strategic approach. Your comfort and understanding is important to us.

If you find issues are you going to be able to fix the issues you find?

Maybe. As an electrical and network technician I can implement some EMF mitigation fixes. We will fix what we can. If it is beyond our scope, we will consult with other subcontractor(s) to get it done correctly.
